Biography

Ruth E. Stinson Kerr , age 95 one of the most loved and respected members of the community, passed away November 3, 2008 at Garden Manor Retirement Village after a long illness. She was born May 20, 1912 in Williamsburg, Kentucky the daughter of the Late Abner and Florence (Chaney) Stinson. In 1929 she married Joseph Kerr in Covington, KY and he preceed her in death April 24, 1980. Ruth leaves a large , loving family and host of friends. Four sisters and five brothers also precede her in death . A devoted member of the Laurel Avenue Chruch of Christ, Ruth was a dedicated to the work of the church, constantly volunterring, along with her late husband, to help out with whatever was needed, from preparing communion to tending flowers around the outside of the church, she enjoyed fishing, cooking for her family and serving the work of the church , Scrupulously honest and hardworking, Ruth Stinson Kerr brought many good customs and traditions to Butler County from the area of her birth, enriching the area by touching the lives of hundreds of grateful residents. Funeral services will be held at The Laurel Avenue Church of Christ, 1049 Laurel Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio on November 6, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Charles H. Anderson , Minister officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Burial Park.
