F.M. Stobaugh received a letter last Saturday from his brother, Dan Stobaugh, of Amarillo, Tex. bearing the sad news of the death of his son, Ira. Ira was crossing the Canadian River and his horse went off in a hole, throwing him off and drowning him, and the body had not been found up to the date of the letter. The sad accident had occurred some four or five weeks previous to the letter and it is believed the body is buried in the sand. [1]Copied from Find A Grave
