In the 1871 England Census David Stone 25 born about 1846 in South Elmham All Saints and St Nicholas, agricultural labourer, was head of his household in South Elmham St Peter and St Michael, Suffolk. Other Household Members were his wife Harriett Stone 22 Redisham, Suffolk, and their daughters Sarah Stone 5 Ilketshall Saint Andrew, and Anne Stone 2 South Elmham St Peter and St Michael. ^[1]

In the 1881 England Census Susan Smith 59 born abt 1822 in St Lawrence, Suffolk, England, widow, charwoman, was head of her household in St Lawrence Road, Ilketshall St Andrew, Suffolk. Other Household Members were her son Arthur Earnest Smith 18 abt 1863 St Andrew, Suffolk, farm labourer; and her grandchildren: Sarah Stone 15 abt 1866, Anna Stone 12 about 1869, Harry Stone 8 abt 1873 St Cross, Suffolk, and James Stone 6 abt 1875 St Cross, Suffolk. ^[2]
