This is the last Will and Testment of me John Stopes of Britwell Prior in the county of Oxford farmer being of sound and dsiposing mind memory and understanding praised be god I giev devise and bequeath all that my freehold farm cleed the Manor Farm with the appurtenances situate at Britwell Prior aforesaid and now in my own possession and all other my freehold estate whatsoever and wheresoever and alos all my household goods implements and utensils of household plate books linen and china Brewing and Dairy utensils and also all my stock of cattle crops of corn grain and hay implements and utensils in husbandry ready money and secutities for money and all other my personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever and all my estate and interest therein with their appurtenances unto and to the use of my brother in law Joseph Badcock of Purton in the said county of Oxford farmer and my wife's brother John Spyer of Britwell Salome in the same county farmer theri heirs executors admons and assigns according tot he different nature and qualities thereof upon the Trusts and for the prurposes hereinafter mentioned (that is to say) In Trust and to the intent and it is my Will and meaning that my dear wife Nelly Stopes shall and may if she shall think proper carry on any continue my farming business and have the use and occupation of my said farm for that purpose for the maintenance education and bringing up of all our children living at my decease or born in due time afterwards during their respective minorities and for the produce of my estate until my present ony son John Stopes, if I shall have no other son, or if I shall have another sone r other sons then until the youngest for the time being of my sons shall attain the age of twenty one years and if I shall have no son live to attain the said age of twenty one years provided she my aid wife shall so long continue my widow and provided it shall appear to my said Trustees Joseph Badcock and John Spyer and the survivor of them or the executors or administrators of such survivor that my said farming business shall be carried on by my said wife with advantage to my estate but if otherwise or if my said wife shall marry again or depart this life during the period aforesaid then and in any of the said cases I do herein direct and empower them my said trustees Joseph Badcock and John Spyer or the survivor of them his executors ....
