Biography

Ezekiel Stout, son of Benjamin and Hannah Bonham Stout, born about 1740 in New Jersey and died September 12 1795 in Harrison County, Virginia.[1] He married Sarah Drake, a descendant of Samuel Fuller who came to America on the Mayflower. They came to Harrison County, (West) Virginia in 1787 with their seven children and settled near what is now Mt. Clare. West Virginia. Sarah brought with her a slip of her rose bush and planted it by the cabin they built. About 1968 at the time of the writing of Russell Ray Stout's book family were still enjoying it.[2]
