Biography
- Caroline Catherine Stout was born on 26 February 1822, in Circleville, Pickaway County, Ohio, USA. Caroline is the daughter of John Stout and Anna Meyers
Obituary
- Obituary for Caroline Catherine Stout Valentine from the Circleville Democrat & Watchman of August 26, 1887:
- "Mrs. Caroline Valentine, wife of Israel Valentine, and daughter of John and Ann Stout, was born in Washington Township, Pickaway County, Ohio, on the 26th day of February, 1822. On the 25th of May of the same year she was brought unto the Lord in holy baptism. In the course of time, she was confirmed as a member of the Reformed Church. On the 20th day of June, 1841, the deceased was united in matrimony with Mr. Israel Valentine. From this union sprang eleven children, viz., seven sons and four daughters. Two of the daughters have preceded their mother into eternity. Mrs. V. had been more or less afflicted for some time, but about two weeks before her departure, she was seized with a complication of diseases. Thursday night, 11th instant, at 11:30, she was released from her sufferings, at the age of 65 years, 5 months and 15 days. She leaves her aged mother, her husband, nine children, a number of grandchildren, five sisters and three brothers, to mourn their loss. Peace be to her ashes."
