Biography

Annie (Stowell) Hunt was born in Keighley, Yorkshire, England.

Annie was born on May 4, 1898. She was the daughter, and first of two children, born toErnest Stowell and Clara Walton. She was baptized on June 26, 1898 at a Non Conformist Church in Keighley. Annie spent her youth in Keighley. In 1912, at age 12, she declared her occupation as "spinner". By 1918, Annie and her family had moved to Coventry, Warwickshire, where she married Benjamin Franklin that same year. Annie and Benjamin had two children together before Benjamin's death in 1929. Annie remarried in 1934. Her second spouse was Clifford Horatio Hunt. The two remained married until Anne's death in Coventry in 1955.
