The "other" Theophilus was the son of John 4 (Richard 3, John 2-1) & Lydia (__) Sweet. Theophilus is named in his father John's will made _ Dec 1743 at N. Kingstown RI. He was named ahead of Amos so was probably older than Amos, b c1735, by a few years. I've not tried to trace this Theo. My interest was his brother Amos 5 because of his son's connection to the Niles family.
Amos 5 married 18 Apr 1759 Elizabeth Straight at E. Greenwich RI. They moved to Stephentown,
Rensselaer Co., NY. Amos built a sawmill c1780 at Sweet Corners. His son Isaiah 6, b NK RI 14 Jul 1763,married Elizabeth Niles. Isaiah & wife Elizabeth (Niles) Sweet, and Amos 6 Sweet,Jr., moved to W. Brome, QUE, Canada. Isaiah & Elizabeth are suposedly buried at the Sweet Cem., W. Brome, QUE.
