Biography

Mary was born about 1842 in Germany; the daughter of Christian Strasburg & Dorothea Nitz.

She immigrated with her parents to Queensland, travelling aboard the Johan Cesar departing Hamburg 7 Nov 1863 and arriving Morton Bay 25 Apr 1864.

She married Christian Hunts on 23 Nov 1865 in Queensland.^[1]

She married Ferdinand Tiegs on 23 Mar 1878 in Wesleyan Church, Rockhampton, Queensland.^[2]

She died on 3 Oct 1917 from a Chronic Ulcer in Rockhampton at the age of about 75 years.^[3] She was buried on 4 Oct 1917 in South Rockhampton Cemetery.^[4]
