Biography

When William Wilber Stratton was born on February 24, 1856, in Guthrie, Iowa, his father, Ezra, was 22 and his mother, Lucia (Lucy), was 22. He married Martha Ellen Carroll on December 18, 1878, in Cowlitz, Washington. They had four children during their marriage. He died as a young father on June 19, 1890, in Clatskanie, Oregon, at the age of 34, and was buried there.
