St Clair Streett in death record for daughter Mary Blackwell 17 Feb 1941 in Fox, Carroll, Ohio.
Saint Clair was a son of Shadrach Streett, Sr., and Elizabeth Watkins. His first wife was Margaret Hudson Roberts by whom he had two children: Shadrach W. and Sarah Elizabeth. He left Maryland and lived briefly in Tuscarawas Co., Ohio, moving to Harrison Co. where he lived out his life. He married for the second time in Harrison Co., on December 10, 1863, to Volumnia Hefling (1828-1898). He was the father of one daughter by Volumnia - Mary Samantha (Blackwell). He was the physician and surgeon at Tippecanoe until his untimely early death and it has been written that he was known for his compassion and skill. He had been the preceptor for his brother-in-law, Darius Hefling, as he trained to become a physician. For a few years, Saint Clair's son, Shadrach, lived with the family in Tippecanoe, but when his father died, he returned to his family in Maryland. Saint Clair is buried near Volumnia's parents and grandparents where his original marker is nearly unreadable.
