Biography

Elisha Strout was born 13 Jan 1745 in Cape Elizabeth, Cumberland, Maine and died on 29 Sep 1811 in Limington, York, Maine. [1]

He married Eunice Freeman on 27 November 1764 in Gorham, Maine[2]. They had eight children[3]:

  1. Simeon, born 24 Nov 1765; married Mercy Laha (Lake)
  2. Susanna, born 28 Jul 1767; married Daniel Grant
  3. Eunice, born 26 Jul 1770; married William Nason Edgecomb
  4. Dorcas, born 1 Mar 1773; married Rufus Libby
  5. Elisha, born 13 Apr 1775; married Betsey Adams
  6. Solomon, born 13 Apr 1777; married Patience (Wallace) Fickett
  7. Polly, born May 1780; married Harvey Libby
  8. Mehitable, born 7 Aug 1787; married William Clark
