Mrs. Heckert was born in Warsaw, Poland, October 10, 1869 and came to America in 1927.
She was married in 1889 to Gottfried Heckert.
She was a member of Clay street Baptist church.
The death of Mrs. Anna Heckert, 67, occurred at 7 a.m. today at her residence, 915 Elm Street, after an extended illness.
Surviving besides the husband Gottfried, are the following children: Mrs. Theresa Feige of St. Joseph, Mrs. Lydia Retz and Mrs. Martha Sauer of Canada, Mrs. Spitzke of St. Joseph, Gottfried Heckert, Jr., of Benton Harbor and Edmund and Emil of Canada.
Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence at 915 Elm street, St. Joseph, and at 2:30 in the Clay Street Baptist church in Benton Harbor for Mrs. Anna Heckert, wife of Gottfried Heckert, who died Tuesday after a long illness. The Rev. Leon F. Gassner, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph City cemetery.
