Ray Baxter Sturgill was born on 8 Oct 1916 in Moreland, Bingham, Idaho, United States. His parents were James Monroe Sturgill and Della Hall.^[1][2][3][4]

He married Agnetta Fay Watson on 17 Apr 1938 in Orange County, California, United States.^[5] Together, they had 1 son: Jon Baxter Sturgill.^[6]

After divorcing Agnetta (date unknown), he married Zola on 1 Jun 1944.^[7]

He died on 27 Mar 1998 in Clovis, Fresno County, California, United States, and was buried at the Clovis Cemetery.^[2][7]
