OCRACOKE - Irvin Jason STYRON, 60, died Sunday at his residence following a long illness. He was employed with the North Carolina Department of Transportation ferry division. He was the son of the late Elijah and Estelle O'Neal Styron. Surviving are two daughters: Debbie O'Neal of Straits and Ada Fulcher of Ocracoke; one brother, Ray Styron of Ocracoke; three sisters: Etta Spencer, Ollie Mutro and Frances O'Neal, all of Ocracoke; one brother, Evans Styron of Ocracoke; and 5 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. in the Ocracoke Assembly of God Church by the Rev. Charles Etheridge, pastor, the Rev. Randy Hillman, pastor of the Ocracoke United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Ocracoke Community Cemetery. Twiford's Island Chapel, Hatteras is in charge of arrangements.
