Lily May Suckling was born in 1878 in the South Australian registration district of Gilbert, based at Riverton. She was the daughter of Martin Suckling and Mary unknown. [1]
Lily May married Victor Wilson in February 1901 in Riverton. [2] Living in Broken Hill until 1909, where Victor ran a store, they had two daughters. They then moved to Adelaide.
Victor served as a Senator for South Australia 1920-1926, following which the family moved to Sydney, New South Wales. When Victor was knighted in 1926 Lily became entitled as Lady Wilson.
Aged 75 years, she passed away in 1953. [3] She was survived by Victor and their two daughters.
