Andrew Susong was born on 6 October 1792 at Rockingham, Virginia.^{[citation needed]} He was the son of Nicholas Susong and Elizabth Mccauley.^[1]

Private Andrew Susong served in the War of 1812, Capt. George Key's Company, 2nd Regiment East Tennessee volunteers, Militia, enlisted 12 Oct 1813k discharged Feb, Mar, or Apr 1814 at Blountville, Tennessee.^[2][3][4]

He married Susanna (Ball) Susong (1799-1882).^[1] about 1818 at Rockbridge, Virginia, United States. [need citation for date/place]
