Mary Anne Sutch was born in 1845 in Oxford, Oxfordshire.[1] She was the daughter of William Sutch and Mary (nee Russell).
Marriage
Caleb Carpenter and Mary Anne Sutch were married at St Aldate's, Oxford on 5th January 1868.[2] They were bachelor and spinster, both of full age and both resident in St Aldate's. Caleb was a french polisher and the son of John Carpenter who was a labourer. Mary Ann was the daughter of William Sutch who was a shoemaker. Caleb and Mary Anne both signed their own names on the register and the witnesses to the marriage were Joseph Timms and Emily Ann Curtis.[3]

Note: Mary Ann noted on the census that there had been 14 children born to her marriage with Caleb, of whom 10 were still living.
Death
Mary Ann died in 1921 at the age of 75.[9] She was buried on 26th February 1921 at St Paul's, Cambridge.[10]
