   We regret (says the Avoca Mail) to have to report a sad accident, by which Mr William Sutherland, of Natte Yallock, has met his death. Mr Sutherland was in Avoca on business on Tuesday, and left for home in a dray about five p.m. On Wednesday morning he was found dead beside the road in Mr Cameron's paddock, about eight miles from Avoca, with the dray overturned on him, the horse being killed also. It would appear that on entering the paddock he had missed the road, and had run against a stump, which caused the accident. Deceased was a farmer highly respected in the district, and was the support. of an aged mother.
