Biography
Joseph M. Sutton was born on December 29, 1827 in Lawrence County, Mississippi, United States, son of William Harrison Sutton (1770–~1835) and Martha Gwinn (1797–1863).
Joseph (19) married Martha Ann Jordan (21) (born on October 30, 1825 in Lawrence County; daughter of Gray Jordan and Margaret (Chandler) Jordan) on January 14, 1847 in Lincoln County, Mississippi. Their children were:
- Christopher Columbus Sutton (1851–1920)
- Joseph May Sutton (1859–1932)
Joseph died on May 16, 1904 in Lincoln County, Mississippi, aged 76.
