Biography
Alice Beatrice Sylvester was born in 1872. Her birth was registered as Alice Beatrice Todd in 1872, with no mothers maiden name shown, which signified that she was illegitimate. Her mother Katherine Todd married Henry James Sylvester in 1874, and Alice then took the surname Sylvester. [1]
