Anna Tabbert Huhn, 89, passed away on April 9, 2013, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Ann was born on January 26, 1924, to James and Florence (Meko) Tabbert. She was a Veteran of the US Navy serving for 3 1/2 years during World War II, where she served as an airway traffic controller 1st Class X. Ann also worked at the Toledo Sports Center Pro Shop. She was a volunteer at East Toledo Senior Center where she taught knitting to many wonderful friends. Ann loved bowling and was taken into the Toledo Bowling Hall of Fame in 2005. Ann was a member of Memorial United Church of Christ.
Ann is survived by sons, Richard (Becky) Huhn and Robert (Sandra) Huhn; grandchildren, Steven (Noelle), Samuel (Ashley), Sherrie (Trevor) Daniels, Brian (Heather), and Kirk Huhn; great-grandchildren, Emmett Huhn, Jackson Daniels, and Matilda Huhn; sister, Tresa Spencer; niece Karlene Schumaker, and many important friends, and earth angels. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; parents; 4 brothers; 2 sisters.
A memorial service will be held at Memorial United Church of Christ, Starr and Plymouth Sts. on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. Memorials in Ann's name may be directed to Memorial United Church of Christ or Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Eggleston-Meinert & Pavley Funeral Homes are handling the services.
