James Jarvis Tabor was born on February 17, 1883 in Swain County, North Carolina, United States, son of John Dehart Tabor (1846–1931) and Myra Caroline LeQuire (1849–1920).
James died on July 29, 1941 in Floyd County, Georgia, aged 58. He was buried in Aragon Cemetery.[6][7]
