John Talmage is both kin and heir of John Talmage named in the writ, viz., son of Richard, brother of John, because he died without an heir of his body, and kin and next heir of the body of the said John, son of Hugh, viz., son of Richard, son of Richard, son of John, son of Hugh. He was aged 17 years on 6 December last. The marriage of the heir does not belong to the king because John the heir married a certain Isabel, still living, while John Talmage named in the writ was alive. C 139/80/21 mm.1–2
