Biography
Elizabeth (Tamblyn) Crago came free to the Colony of New South Wales (1788-1900)
Elizabeth Tamblyn was born to Petherick Tamblyn and Frances Lobb in Liskeard, Cornwall and baptised in Liskeard on 17th June 1810[1]
Elizabeth married William Crago on 7th May, 1832 in Stoke Dameral, Devon.
They had children[2]:
- 1833 Liskeard Petherick Tamblyn CRAGO William Elizabeth
- 1837 Liskeard Francies Julia CRAGO William Elizh (died 1845)
- 1841 Liskeard Elizabeth CRAGO William Elizabeth (died 1842)
- 1846 Liskeard John CRAGO William Elizabeth
- 1848 Neot, St. Francis CRAGOE William Elizabeth
- 1862 Neot, St. William Henry CRAGO William Elizabeth
Elizabeth (aged 54) and William (65) with sons John (18), Francis (16) and William (13) came to NSW in 1865 on the 'Hornet'[3] to join Elizabeth and William's first-born son Petherick Tamblyn Crago in Yass, NSW.
Elizabeth died in Yass in 1892[4] and is buried with husband William in the Yass cemetery[5].
