Biography
Clarissa was born 1799, daughter of Ira Tanner and Julia Fitch.
Clarissa married (1) Hubbard Dewey, in 1823.
Clarissa married (2) Jesse Burgess
From Findagrave:
- "After 1815 she went, with other family members to DeKalb, NY in St Lawrence County. There, in 1823, she married Hubbard Dewey. Hubbard had moved previously to DeKalb with his first wife and family from Otsego County. After the death of his first wife Hubbard married Clarissa Tanner and they had two children, Eliza and and Louisa. After 3 years of marriage Hubbard died and Clarissa returned to Otsego county."
She passed away in 1871. She is buried in the Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery, Warren, Herkimer County, New York, USA. [1]
