Biography

Edith May was born in 1895. Edith May is the child of Thomas Tarbox and Elizabeth Vicars. First-hand information as remembered by Rose Thompson, Thursday, January 23, 2014. She was my aunt but I never had the chance to meet her.

Edie married a Hubbins. She lived at 6 Mary's Way in Linslade and 1948 lived at 28 Saulbury Road in Linslade.

Tarbox-102: Letter dated October 15, 1976 and written to Mr. And Mrs. Fred Tarbox from Mrs. B. White of 36 Albert Street, Bletchley, Milton Keynes MK 22 UG.

Dear Uncle Fred and Aunt Florence, we do hope you are both well, I am writing this on behalf of Molly and Vi.... To tell you their mum passed away suddenly yesterday Oct. 14. She had just come in from shopping so she didn't suffer which is one blessing. Tom is staying on in the bungalow at present. He is taking it very well, but of course he hasn't had time to miss her yet. We don't know anything about the funeral arrangements yet. They are having flowers so I will see some go from you and Florence, hope that is OK, (by the way this is Olive writing). Do hope this isn't too big a shock for you uncle. Aunt Ede would have been 82 yrs old on Dec. 1st. I'll be writing again for Christmas. If you would like to write to Molly and Vinnel?, in case you haven't an address Molly's is Mrs. B. White at 5 Napier street, Milton Keynes. Love to you both from Olive and Alex?.
