In 1851, Francis (23) and his wife, Elizabeth (21, a cheviner - embroiderer of hosiery, born Belper) were living in Smithy Houses, Denby, Derbyshire, next door to his parents.

Elizabeth died age 23 and was buried on 9th October 1854 in Denby, Derbyshire, England.
