George Taylor was born to Mary and William Taylor in Hennock, Devon in 1819.[1] In 1840 he married Elizabeth Thomas.[2] They had six children between 1841 and 1851.
George's occupation is listed in the 1841 census as "agricultural labourer."[3] By 1861 he was employed as a miner in a lead mine.[4]
