Funeral services for James Earl Taylor, 67, of Crossville, who passed away Thursday Sept. 26, 1996, were conducted 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28 from the chapel of Crossville Memorial Cemetery with burial at Green Acres Memory Gardens. Rev. Billy Smith officiated. Pallbearers were Carl Taylor, Matt Taylor, Dave Taylor and Billy Taylor. Mr. Taylor was born Aug. 27, 1929 in Brotherton, Tenn. He was a retired factory worker and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Emma Elmore Taylor. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Taylor; daughter, Doris A. Taylor; son, James A. Taylor; granddaughter, Tosha Whittaker; brothers, Robert Taylor, Hubert Taylor and David Taylor, all of Crossville. Crossville Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
