Biography

Gilbert was born in 1906. He is the son of James Telford and his wife Sarah. ^[1]He passed away in 1966 in Illinois, but was buried in Mississippi.^[2]

Obituary

Gilbert Telford, 59, of 3167 Lawn St., died Tuesday at 7 p.m. in St. Joseph's Hospital where he had been a patient three days.

Mr. Telford moved to Alton in 1961 from Water Valley, Miss., and the body will be returned there for funeral services Sunday.

A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Telford, he is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Ellen Telford; four sons, six daughters, five sisters, three brothers and 35 grandchildren. One son preceded him in death. ^[3]
