2. Burwell TEMPLE2,3 was born about 1735 in Prince George Co., VA. Sussex

County register gives a marriage date of 7 Sep 1797 and 26 Feb 1798. Not

clear what the discrepancy is. One conjecture is that the earlier date was

actually the marriage of Polly Simmons Adkins to Burwell Senior, and that

the later date is a marriage between Burwell Jr. and Polly Simmons. Burwell

TEMPLE had the following children:

1 i. Frederick TEMPLE.

ii. Herbert TEMPLE4 was born in 1762 in Prince George Co., VA. He died in

1812.5 Enlisted 11 Sep 1780 and fought in the 6th Virginia Regiment under

Captain William Avery.

iii. Burwell TEMPLE6,7 was born about 1772 in Sussex Co., VA. He Moved

before 1830 to Williamson Co., TN.8 He died after 1839.9

iv. Allen TEMPLE10 was born in 1775 in Prince George Co., VA.11 He died

in 1839 in Prince George Co., VA.12
