Sarah Tennison was born ca 1781-83 in Prince George's Co MD. A marriage bond dated 8 Dec 1803 for Sarah Tennison and Richard Artwell can be found in Caswell County, NC. Note spelling if last name. Ignatius Tennison was witness to the marriage. Sarah married Richard Atwell and her sister, Elizabeth married his brother John AtwelL. Shortly after their marriage, Richard Atwell purchased 106 acres from Ignatius in 1804 and sold the land back to him in 1807. Both Atwell families moved between 1810-1813 to Green County, KY along with several extended family and friends. Richard and Sarah moved to Metcalfe Co., KY aft 1843.
