Elizabeth was born 07 Mar 1683 at Milton, Norfolk, Massachusetts daughter of Peter Thacher[1] Elizabeth married Samuel Niles May 29 1701. Together they had the following children:
Her husband's journal describes their marriage as follows "My Wife Elisabeth was Niles was born Marchth The Daughter of the Revnd Mr Peter Thacher We were Married May the 29 1701. (of Milton who also Married me)"
She died 10 Feb 1716 at Braintree[2]
Her husband described her death as follows: "My Dear wife Elisabeth Niles Departed this Life February [crossed out] the 10 1715-16 between 2 and 3 In the Morning and Left me and My poor Children in a Sorrowfull and very So litary Condition besides many relations Christian friends and ac- quaintance Lamenting their and our Loss her memory is dear and her Example for piety beyond most________ She was Under sun- dry and very remarkable Impressions of her approaching Death and Evidenced it her maine care to provide for it. She was Intered February th13-1715 16 The first person buried In the buring place in the South part of Brantrie over a- gainst the meeting house ___"
Her burial is recorded in her husband's journal as follows: "The first that was buried in the above Named buri- ing place was My Dear and Lovely Consort Elisabeth Niles She was the Daughter of the Revd Mr Peter Thacher of Milton- She was buried February- the 13th 1715:16. " [3]
