Biography

Deborah Thayer was born in either 1741 or 1744, probably in Mendon, Massachusetts. Some sources, without citation, give her exact date of birth as 12 or 16 December 1741. She has been placed in the family of both Jonathan Thayer and Rachel Holbrook and Uriah Thayer and Rachel Taft, but know birth record has been found.

Deborah Thayer, "of Mendon" married Simeon Wheelock in Mendon on 28 November 1763.[1]

Deborah had Simeon had the following known children, (all born in Uxbridge, Massachuestts):

Deborah passed away 15 November 1815 in Uxbridge, Massachusetts[2][3] and is buried there in Prospect Hill Cemetery. The inscription on her headstone reads "In Memory of Mrs. Debor W relict of Simeon Wheelock died 15 Novemeber 1815 at 71 years." [Headstone is quite broken, could be 74 years].
