Martha was born 25 December 1785 in Rockingham County, North Carolina. Her father was Lewis Thomas; her mother has not been definitely identified.
Martha Thomas and Theophilus Lewis were married before 1808 as that was when their first child was born.
In 1817 her father, Lewis Thomas, died. His will and probate was filed in Rockingham County, North Carolina and all eleven of his children were listed including Martha. [1]
Martha Thomas Lewis passed away in 1867.
