George Albert Thomason was born on 26 Jun 1876 in Carroll, Tennessee to parents James Wiley Thomason and Mary Louisa Parish. He married Lyda Emma Butler about 1905 in Carroll, Tennessee. Children: Floyd Albert, Clarice. He died on 23 Aug 1945 in Westport, Carroll, Tennessee.

George Albert was my grandfather. My father, mother, and I went once a month Sunday afternoon to visit him and my grandmother, Emma. Uncle Floyd, his wife and cousin Beth lived there, too and so did Clarice.

My grandfather was a thin man with a stern demeanor but nice to me. They lived in Westport, Tennessee.
