Biography

Alexander Thomson married Mary Elisabeth Spencer in Savannah, Georgia on 24 November 1770.^[1]

Mary Elisabeth died in April/May 1778 and two months later Alexander married Marion Campbell in Edinburgh on 18 August 1778.^[1]

Thomson, Alexander, collector of H.M. Customs for Savanah in Georgia, now in Edinburgh, and Marion Campbell, widow of Thomas Rannie, merchant 18 Aug. 1788

Alexander died in Edinburgh on 27 September 1798 aged 64 and was buried in Canongate Churchyard.^[2]
