Research Notes
According to the Visitation of Hertfordshire of 1634, John and Margaret's great-grandson Daniel was born in 1615. The line of descent involves John & Margaret's eldest son Nicholas, Nicholas' second son Nicholas, and Nicholas' second son Daniel. Assuming about 24 years per generation, this might add up to roughly 72 years, suggesting a birth date of around 1543 for John. [7]
