In June 1663, Richard was elected an Alderman of the City of London.[1]
St. Peter upon Cornhill was eradicated in the Great Fire of London in 1666. While it was being rebuilt to the designs of Sir Christopher Wren, between 1677 and 1684, Richard became a parishioner of St. Bartholomew the Less.[2]
Richard named his son Benjamin and son-in-law John Ashby as executors of his will. His Will was written May 25, 1678 [P.C.C. 88 Reeve] and proved August 1, 1678. 1 Aug. 1678 - Probate.[3]
