CHAMBERLAIN, DOROTHY MAE; of West Bloomfield; passed away peacefully September 9, 2004 at the Clarkston Specialty Health Care; age 86. Beloved wife of the late Harley Chamberlain; loving mother of James Chamberlain of Clarkston and Gerald (Gail) Chamberlain of Waterford; dear grandmother of Mark and Luke Chamberlain and Rachel (Jody) Paradis; great grandmother of Camden Paradis; dear sister of Carl and Jean Thorsberger and preceded in death by Delbert, Betty and Ruth; sister-in-law of Donna Thorsberger, WIlliam (Jean) Glover, John Martusiewicz and Ruth Thorsberger; also survived by 11 nieces and nephews; dear friend of Doug and Kathy Wolfe. Mrs. Chamberlain was a resident of West Bloomfield for almost 87 years and was the former West Bloomfield Township Clerk. She was a longtime member of the West Bloomfield United Methodist Church and was an active member and bookkeeper at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, until her retirement in 1980. Funeral Service will be Monday, September 13, 2004, 10:30 a.m. at West Bloomfield United Methodist Church, 4100 Walnut Lake Road, West Bloomfield. Officiating Reverend Brent Webster. The family will receive friends Saturday 4-8 p.m. and Sunday 2-6 p.m. at the Riverside Chapel, Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home, 5630 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford, at at the church on Monday at 10:00 a.m. Interment Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to West Bloomfield United Methodist Church or to Price of Peace Catholic Church.
