Biography

Name: Isaac Tinkham, son of Isaac and Abijah (Wood) Tinkham, born 1720 in Massachusetts.

He married Hannah Robbins, daughter of John and Elizabeth (Thomas) Robbins, on 14 Jan 1753 at Middleborough, Plymouth, Massachusetts.

The children of Isaac and Hannah were Isaac, Abijah, Hannah, Elizabeth, Abel, Esther and Huldah Tinkham.

Probate

The will of Isaac Tinkham of Middleborough was dated 1 July 1779 and proved on 6 February 1780 in Plymouth. He mentions his wife Hannah (executor and guardian of minor children), and his children, Abijah Tinkham, Hannah, wife of Seth Robbins, Elizabeth Tinkham, Abel Tinkham, Esther Tinkham, Abigail Tinkham, Huldah Tinkham, and Content Tinkham. His inventory was taken on 22 February 1780 in Middleborough.[1]

In 1780, Jacob Bennett of Middleborough was granted the administration cum testamento annexo of his estate, after the death of his wife, Hannah.[2]

In 1788, an account of his estate by Jacob Bennett was recorded which included the sale of the estate, rent and timber sold, debts paid, and administration fees.[3]

In 1780, Benjamin Thomas of Middleborough was appointed guardian of his minor daughter Huldah, who was under the age of 14 years.[4]
