Monroe County, Virginia Wills - Richard TOLER - In the name of God Amen I Richard Toler of Login County State of Virginia being through the abundant mercy and goodness of God in a common state of health in body yet in sound mind and perfect understanding do constitute this my last will and testament and desire to be received by all as such in primises. I most humbly bequeath my sole to god my maker beseaching his most gracious acceptance of it through the all sufficient merits and meditaion of his most compasinate Redeemer Jesus Christ who have himself to be an atonement for my sins and is able to same to the utmost all who come unto God by him seeing he even liveth to make intersession for them and who I trust will not request me as a penetent siner when I come to him for mercy in this hope and confidence I render up my soul with comfort humbly beseaching the most blessed and glorious trinity one god most holy most mercy full and glorious to me for the time of my disolution and then to take me to himself into that peace and rest and in comforability which he has prepared that love him and fear his name. Amen. Blessed be God in premises. I give my body to the earth from whence it was taken in full assurance of its ressurection from hence at the last day as for my buriel I desire it may be without pomp or state at the disposal of my wife and my executors hear after named who I doubt not will manage it with all requisite prudance and as to my worldly estate will and that all my just debts be paid and that my decision is that my beloving wife shall have absolutley the sale of my estate real and personable of what kind so even it may be forever as she may think well to use it and to appoint Vincent Swinney and my wife to be executors to this my will and I hearby revoke all will or wills heartofore by me made and declare this to be my last will and testatment as I have here unto set my hand seal this 7th day of January 1839.
