WEDDING REPORT. Towns—McCarron. A GOWN of slipper satin with a tulle yoke was chosen by Freda Muriel, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. McCarron, 52 Forster St., Launceston, for her marriage to Jack Tasman, third son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Towns, Meredith Cres., Launceston, at St. John's on Saturday. Canon W. Greenwood officiated. The bridal gown of slipper satin was buttoned down the back and showed long-pointed sleeves and a tulle yoke. The tulle veil was held in place by a halo of orange blossom, gladioli and frangipani. Misses Betty Holton and Yvonne Wadley attended the bride. They wore frocks of lemon floral marquisette and carried baskets of red roses and gladioli. Flower girls were Valma and Rhonda McCarron, sister of the bride. The bride was given away by her father. Mr. Rex Thomas was best man and Mr. R. Young groomsman. More than 70 guests were entertained at The Lounge. The bride left.the reception wearing a dove grey dress with matching coat and black accessories. The honeymoon is being spent on the North-West Coast. Mr. and Mrs. J. Towns will live in Launceston.
