Mary Lou Towns was born about 19 Feb 1921 in Troup, Georgia, United States, daughter of Harris Towns and Minnie (Hodo) Towns.

She married Harvey Strozier before 1950 and they had 13 children together.

Mary died on 6 Mar 2018 in Peachtree City, Fayette, Georgia, aged 97. ^[1]

• Her obituary gives her birth year as 1931, but she has a 1930 census record.
• Five of her children preceded her in death: Louise, Curtis, Earl, Jacqueline, and Willie “Butch”; one grandchild and one great grandchild.
