William George Traves passed away 16 October 1947 at Camden District Hospital, Camden, New South Wales, Australia. ^[1]

The death occurred recently of William George Traves at the Camden District Hospital. Aged seven years he was living with his parents at the Camden Park estate, where they were employed. After entering hospital for a minor operation, he died within 48 hours. Not long before entering hospital, William ran a splinter into his foot. No significance was attached to the incident, but the tetanus that followed was the cause of his death.

The remains were brought to Canowindra and interred in the Catholic portion of the cemetery, where the Very Rev. Dean Brosnan officiated.

The bereaved parent's. Mr. and Mrs. L. Traves, were on the Gocup Estate during recent years.^[2]
