Mary was born approx 1822.
This note from a descendant posted on 1860 Census: "Mary was the d/o Arthur Treadway and Lucretia Taylor of Anson Co NC to Buncombe/Henderson NC to Van Buren AK. Lucretia was the d/o Charles Taylor and Elizabeth Potts from Rutherford to Anson NC back to Buncombe/Henderson where they died.Charles was the son of Arthur Taylor and Celia. Arthur died in the American Revolution in SC. I have his record from the SC Archives. I am through Lucretia's brother Joseph Taylor of Henderson NC Blue Ridge."
