Biography

Daisy was born in 1896. She is the daughter of John Tregonning and Jane Rodger.

Daisy married Archibald Linklater, a Cheesemaker of Matauara in 1916.

Their daughter Florence born in 1917 survived for just a day. Ona Ilene was born in 1918 followed by the birth of her sister, Elva Jean. A son John James Tregoning was born in 1923.

Daisy and Archibald lived at Whiterig Dairy Factory and during the 1930's at Tisbury and Drummond. By 1940 they had moved to Mataura where Archibald was employed as a Factory Manager.

Daisy Linklater died in 1978 aged 81 and is buried at Eastern Cemetery, Invercargill.
