WILLIAM TRENARY

Another old pioneer has been called from life to death. William Trenary died at his residence in Belmont, of heart disease, Tuesday, December 18, 1888. Deceased was born in Cornwall, England, and came to America in 1842, and settled in Platteville, Wisconsin. Here he lived until about 30 years ago, when he moved to Belmont, where he resided up to the time of his death. He was the father of eleven children, nine of whom survive him, and eight of them, together with eighty-six grandchildren attended the funeral. Mr. Trenary was possessed of an iron will and an iron constitution. He came to this country poor, and died a wealthy man, owning real estate valued at $50,000. He was possessed of a rugged integrity that commanded the respect of all, and his death is sincerely mourned by a large circle of friends. May he rest in peace.
