Biography

Alfonso Trizzino has Italian Roots.

Alfonso Trizzino was born on January 14, 1848 in Bivona, Agrigento, Sicily, Italy to parents Giuseppe Trizzino and Giuseppa Orlando. Alfonso was baptized on January 15, 1848^[1] and married Carmela Pecoraro on November 30, 1875 in Palazzo Adriano, Palermo, Sicily, Italy. The couple then had at least 5 children beginning with Giuseppa Trizzino, who was born less than a year later, on October 1, 1876.

While he appears to have remained in Italy pretty much all of his life, three of his children made the journey to America starting with his eldest known son, Nicola, who went with his new wife, Nunzia Rizzo, to live in New York. Eventually, his new son-in-law, Mariano Di Leo takes him to visit Nicola and America for the first time as they board the SS Roma on July 18, 1907 in Naples and arrive in the Port of New York on July 30/31, 1907^[2]. Presumably, Carmela is still alive as Alfonso marks himself as married. After this, we do not know whether Alfonso ever came back to the US as he cannot be found in any other documentation other than being listed as the nearest relative to his son, Vincenzo when he arrives at the Port of New York for the first time on April 10, 1911 on board the Luisiana^[3].

It is clear that he lived to be at least 63 years old but it is not clear whether his wife lived as long or if he even made it to see the marriage of his youngest daughter, Anna, who married on February 26, 1921. Alfonso would have been 73 at that time.
